111-2 Semester EMI TA Training Workshop
Essential Teacher Assistant Skills for the Classroom
1. Organizer:
Language Teaching and Research Center, Office of International and Cross-Strait Affairs, and Center of Teaching and Learning Development
2. Target audience:
EMI teachers, TAs who assist with EMI courses, students who have at least English proficiency of level B2 and are interested in getting EMI TA training, and teachers who plan to offer EMI courses in the future.
3. Goal:
Although the use of a TA is at the discretion of the professor, TAs should
be given introductory general training to support a variety of needs. Professors in an EMI program may use their TA to reinforce language targets of the EMI class. Therefore, this workshop will introduce basic education topics and skills to students who want to be a teacher’s assistant in an EMI program. The education targets for the EMI TA that this workshop will include are as follows:
1. Vocabulary introduction
2. Summary note taking skills
3. Not knowing the answer
4. Creating a TA lesson plan
5. Expectations
4. Time: 13:10-15:00, Wednesday, March 15.
5. Venue: Computer Lab (R222)

- The working language of this workshop is English.
- Masks are mandatory.
