1.   Event Name:

    111-2 NCNU Sit-Com Competition

2.   Participants: Students currently enrolled at National Chi Nan University

3.   Event Objective:

To encourage students to express themselves confidently in a foreign language, to apply what they have learned, and to showcase their creativity, an English Situational Comedy Competition is specially organized. This allows students to freely create and grow in a joyous environment, while also appreciating and exchanging culture with one another.

4.   Organizer: Language Teaching and Research Center, National Chi Nan University

5.   Event Schedule:

First Round & Final: May 10, 2023 (Wednesday) from 13:10 to 15:00.

    Event Venue: Round Theater

6.   Competition Rules:
Duration: 3-5 minutes; Participants: 3-5 people
Theme:

(1)   The misunderstanding

(2)   Two dates on the same night

7.    Format:

(1) Individual or group performance

(2) Must include at least 8 lines of dialogue

(3) Props, costumes, music, and slideshows are allowed

Scoring: Plot and creativity (40%), fluency in language (40%), and props and costumes (20%)

[First Round & Final]: Participants should prepare a complete performance of 3-5 minutes and submit any necessary slideshows or music to the center by 17:00 on May 8th. The judges will select the top three performers, and the audience will vote for the most popular performance to receive the Best Popularity Award. Additionally, the audience will have a chance to win a NT$100 gift card through a lottery drawing.

First Place: NT$2500 gift card and certificate

Second Place: NT$2000 gift card and certificate

Third Place: NT$1500 gift card and certificate

Best Popularity Award: NT$1000 gift card and certificate
