2026 National Chi Nan University International Student Chinese Recitation Contest: Listening to the Sounds of the Seasons

Competition Rules

一、宗旨：

為深耕本校華語文教育，鼓勵境外生跳脫課本框架、感悟華語之美，語文教學中心華語文教學組特別規劃 「聽見季節的聲音」 華語朗讀競賽。本活動旨在透過春夏秋冬的遞嬗，引導學生運用精準的語調與細膩的情感，詮釋四季交替間的生命律動。

藉由反覆練習文稿與授課教師的悉心指導，參賽者不僅能紮實鍛鍊語音發音與節奏掌控，更能跨越文字表象，體會華語文學中的物候美學與情感寄託。期盼透過本次競賽，全面提升境外生之口語表達自信與文化轉譯素養，帶動校內華語學習之優質風氣，進而厚植其在台生活適應及未來職涯之競爭實力。

Purpose:

To promote Chinese language education at the University and encourage international students to move beyond textbook learning and appreciate the beauty of the language, the Chinese Language Division of the Language Teaching Center organizes the Chinese Recitation Contest, “Listening to the Sounds of the Seasons.”

Through the theme of the four seasons, this event guides students to interpret the rhythm of life using accurate pronunciation and expressive delivery. With repeated practice and instructor guidance, participants will strengthen their pronunciation and sense of rhythm while developing a deeper understanding of the aesthetic and emotional aspects of Chinese literature.

The competition aims to enhance students’ confidence in oral expression, cultivate their cultural awareness, and support their academic and daily life adaptation in Taiwan.

二、主辦單位：國立暨南國際大學語文教學中心華語文教學組

三、比賽時間：2026年5月13日13:30~14:50。

Time:May 13, 2026, 13:30–14:50

四、比賽地點：圖資大樓多功能演講廳

Venue: Multi-functional Lecture Hall, Library and Information Building

五、參賽資格與對象：

1. 對象：本校各系所境外學位生、交換生及語文教學中心華語班學員

2. 語言背景限制： 參賽者之母語須非中文（含華語、各類漢語方言）。

註：若國籍為華裔，或曾就讀於以中文為主要教學語言之學校者，需經由授課教師或主辦單位審核認定其參賽資格，以維護競賽公平性。  

3.     程度限制： 華語程度A2 基礎級（含）以下者。

4.     認定標準：

(1)      已通過正式華語檢定（如 TOCFL、HSK 等）等級為 A2 級（含）以下。

(2)      未參加正式檢定者，依其目前在校修習之華語課程等級為準，並由授課教師依學生實際能力分配與推薦報名。

Eligibility and Participants:

1.Eligible Participants:

International degree students, exchange students, and Chinese language students enrolled in the Language Teaching Center.

2.Language Background Requirement:

Participants must be non-native speakers of Chinese (including Mandarin and other Chinese dialects).

Note: Applicants of Chinese descent or those who have previously studied in institutions where Chinese is the primary language of instruction must have their eligibility reviewed and approved by their instructor or the organizing unit to ensure fairness.

3.Proficiency Requirement:

Participants must have a Chinese proficiency level of A2 (Basic) or below.

4.Assessment Criteria:

(1) Those who have passed an official Chinese proficiency test (e.g., TOCFL, HSK, etc.) at Level A2 or below.

(2) Those who have not taken an official test will be evaluated based on their current Chinese course level at the University, with placement and recommendation determined by their instructor according to their actual proficiency.

八、比賽辦法：

1.  比賽當天由主辦單位準備各篇目閱讀稿，當場抽題，以主辦單位提供之空閱讀稿上場比賽(不可用自己的朗讀稿上台)，選手在預備區時可當場做個人筆記。 

2.  比賽當日請於13:10~13:30完成報到。13:30唱名二次未到者，視同棄權。

3.  比賽鈴響即開始計時。比賽限時3分鐘，2分30秒時響鈴一聲提醒，3分鐘時響鈴兩聲以示結束，參賽者須結束朗讀並離開講臺。若朗讀長度未達2分30秒，則每少30 秒鐘扣總分1分（少於30秒仍以30秒計）。

4.  比賽報名人數若超過15人，需進行預賽。預賽詳細辦法將於2026年4月24日在語文中心網頁公布。

Competition Rules:

1.  On the day of the competition, reading scripts will be provided by the organizer. Participants will draw a passage on-site and must use the official script provided (personal scripts are not allowed on stage). Participants may take notes in the preparation area before presenting.

2.  Participants must complete check-in between 13:10 and 13:30 on the day of the competition. Those who fail to appear after being called twice at 13:30 will be considered to have withdrawn.

3.  Timing begins when the bell rings. Each performance is limited to 3 minutes. A bell will ring once at 2 minutes and 30 seconds (reminder), and twice at 3 minutes (end). Participants must stop reading and leave the stage immediately. If the performance is shorter than 2 minutes and 30 seconds, 1 point will be deducted from the total score for every 30 seconds short (any duration less than 30 seconds will still be counted as 30 seconds).

If the number of registered participants exceeds 15, a preliminary round will be held. Detailed information will be announced on the Language Center website on April 24, 2026.

九、評分標準：

1. 發音及語調40%、流利度30%、肢體語言10%、台風、服裝及整體表現20%。

2. 若遇分數相同者，依發音及語調、流利度、肢體語言、台風及整體表現，順位評比得分。若前述分數仍相同，則由評審討論後決定名次。

Evaluation Criteria:

1.  Pronunciation and intonation (40%), fluency (30%), body language (10%), and stage presence, attire, and overall performance (20%).

2.  In the event of a tie, scores will be compared in the following order: pronunciation and intonation, fluency, body language, and stage presence and overall performance. If the scores remain the same, the final ranking will be determined through discussion by the judges.

十一、獎勵方式：

Awards: One First Prize, one Second Prize, and one Third Prize will be awarded.

取第一名1名、第二名1名，第三名1名。 

十二、本辦法若有未盡事宜，主辦單位得適時修正補充之，並於比賽前公告說明。

Supplementary Provisions: Any matters not covered in these guidelines may be revised or supplemented by the organizing unit as necessary, and will be announced prior to the competition.
